Elsa RAMO Attorney/Owner Ms. Ramo is an entertainment attorney, representing many corporate clients as well as individual writers, directors, and producers in the entertainment industry. Elsa graduated from University of San Diego School of Law, and began her career at Davis Dixon Kirby LLP as an associate establishing their Los Angeles Office. She founded her own firm in 2005 on the Universal Studios backlot when approached by several clients who wished for her to handle their independent productions. Since then, her practice has successfully grown and is currently located in Beverly Hills. Her specialties span the spectrum of entertainment legal needs: Corporate/Entity Representation, Contract Negotiation, Review and Drafting, Producer/Writer Representative Services, Trademark and Copyright filing and litigation, and Corporate Formations, Acquisition, and Mergers. The focus of her practice is to be a legal resource to film financiers, producers and other creative individuals in the film, music and television industries. Her law firm has three full time attorneys, a creative executive, and a full staff who have provided production legal services to over 50 television, feature film, short film and documentary productions. Erika CANCHOLA Attorney Erika Canchola graduated cum laude from Santa Clara University and received her Juris Doctorate from Boston University Law School, where she focused her legal studies on entertainment law. During law school, she was an Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal and President of the Communication, Entertainment and Sports Law Associate. She also worked for California Lawyer for the Arts, Law Offices of Vinca Jarrett & Associates, and WGBH. Upon graduation, Erika joined the Law Offices of Elsa Ramo full-time as an associate. She assists in Corporate Formation, Trademark and Copyright filing and litigation, Contract Review and Drafting, Production Legal, and Writer/Artist Representative Services. Tara SATTLER Law Clerk Tara Sattler is a second year law student attending Southwestern University School of Law. During her time at Southwestern, she has participated in the National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition. She is also the Entertainment Vice President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Tara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University Honors College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, and minors in Business Management and Legal Studies. Tara has also worked with California Lawyers for the Arts and Westwood One’s Grammy Radio Remote. |
